What Is Laser Skin Rejuvenation?

Laser skin rejuvenation encompasses a wide variety of laser treatments that help to improve skin imperfections such as scarring, sun damage, redness, and wrinkles. These lasers are broadly grouped as either ablative or non-ablative and can be used to remove old, damaged skin to reveal younger, smoother skin.

We use ablative lasers such as the Fraxel Repair, Ultrapulse laser (CO2 lasers), Sciton TRL, and Profractional laser (Erbium lasers) for superficial polishing or deeper resurfacing. Our non-ablative lasers, MOXI and BBL, are used to target sun damage and pigment, including melasma and rosacea. Non-ablative lasers generally carry less recovery time. A unique combination of the ablative and non-ablative laser, the HALO laser delivers improvement in both texture and sun damage in a single treatment.

To accelerate healing and reduce redness, Gentlewave LED light treatment is added to most of our laser facial rejuvenations.

What options do you offer for minimal downtime on facial rejuvenation?

We have several, but one notable procedure is the MOXI Laser paired with Broadband Light. These two knock out sun damage and reduce fine lines and wrinkles. Recovery time is just a few days.

How long is the recovery time if I go for a one-time resurfacing?

For some treatments, patients experience just a few days of redness and swelling similar to a mild sunburn. Other treatments require a little more time out of the public eye. Our medical staff gives careful instructions to the patient before treatment and we follow you carefully as you recover. The results are worth the effort.

Will I be comfortable during treatment?

Yes. Treatment begins with the application of a numbing cream, and sometimes additional numbing of areas to be treated. Oral medications are also given if the patient has someone to drive them home. We make every effort to keep you comfortable.
