Dr. VanAntwerp undergoes a MicroLaserPeel and gives a personal account of how the different lasers, depending on the patient’s skin type and desired outcome, can be used in combination to deliver a synergistic effect and generate great results.
MicroLaserPeel Transcript:
Okay, so today we’re at Profile MD, and we’re gonna do a custom rejuvenation.
Custom rejuvenation is exactly what it sounds like.
We’re going to specify different lasers, depending on the patient’s skin type and desired outcome, and use those in combination to really use a synergistic effect and get great results.
So today, for Dr. VanAntwerp what we’re gonna do is a MicroLaserPeel.
This will help with the superficial texture of his skin, and then we’re gonna use our profractional laser.
This is a laser that’s great for building collagen.
And we’re gonna combine that with a PRP treatment.
The PRP is taking a sample of the patient’s own blood, and isolating the healing cells that you naturally have.
We then use these to speed up the recovery time, and get an even better result.

Well I’m done. As you can see, actually I’m well done.
Or some might think medium rare.
Well, it’s day 4 post-resurfacing. Pretty messy, until I showered.
On sunday, redness and I started to exfoliate.
That was pretty much completed by yesterday.
Today I have a little bit.
I have some redness, which will very soon be just pinkness.
That lasts while it’s remodeling, but I’m pretty much done!
