Why Choose Profile MD for LGBTQ-Inclusive Aesthetic Treatments?
Finding a provider who is both clinically skilled and competent in LGBTQ-informed care is a struggle for many patients. Too often, LGBTQ patients enter medical settings where they feel they need to explain, justify or minimize their experiences just to access basic care. That’s not something you should have to do at an aesthetic practice.
At Profile MD, inclusivity is built into patient care. It’s reflected in the way we talk to patients, the way we approach consultations and the way we design treatment plans. Dr. Jared Mallalieu and our clinical team understand that aesthetic goals are deeply personal, regardless of context, and that looking and feeling your best is different for everyone. Our providers understand how hormone therapies, surgical histories and other individual health factors can influence how your skin, hair and body respond to certain treatments, and we factor that into patient care.

Laser Hair Removal
Few treatments are as versatile or as personally meaningful as laser hair removal. For patients who want to reduce or eliminate unwanted hair on the face, legs or anywhere in between, our GentleMax Pro laser delivers precise, lasting results across a wide range of skin tones and hair types.
The GentleMax Pro combines two wavelengths, the Alexandrite and 1064 Nd:YAG, which allow our providers to tailor treatments to your skin type, hair color and treatment area. Sessions are fast and relatively comfortable, with most patients describing a mild snapping sensation at most. Results build gradually over a series of treatments, with significant permanent reduction typically achieved after six to eight sessions.
Whether you want to address facial hair, body hair or more sensitive areas, your treatment plan will be customized to your goals and anatomy. We’ll discuss your timeline, your expectations and any relevant medical history during your consultation.
Add Lipo and Body Sculpting here
Liposuction
At Profile MD, Dr. Mallalieu performs laser-assisted liposuction using the Allura system, a technique commonly referred to as awake lipo because it’s performed under local anesthesia rather than general anesthesia. Less systemic anesthesia means a faster recovery, less downtime and a more comfortable overall experience.
The Allura laser liquefies fat before it’s removed, which allows for more precise sculpting and also stimulates collagen production in the treated area. This also helps the skin contract and tighten rather than sag following fat removal. Common treatment areas include the abdomen, flanks, back, arms, thighs and chin.
Body Sculpting with truSculpt
For patients who want to improve their contours without surgery, truSculpt flex offers a nonsurgical path to a firmer, more defined physique. This FDA-cleared body contouring device uses multi-directional electrical muscle stimulation to contract and strengthen muscles in targeted areas. truSculpt delivers results comparable to an intensive workout without any incisions, needles or downtime.
TruSculpt flex is customizable to your fitness level and body shape, and treatments can be adapted to focus on different goals, whether that’s muscle toning, firming or overall body definition. Sessions typically last around 45 minutes, during which multiple muscle groups can be treated simultaneously. Most patients complete a series of four to six sessions to achieve their desired outcome.
Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers are among the most requested injectables in aesthetic medicine, and for good reason: they’re flexible, quick and capable of producing results that range from subtle to dramatic depending on your goals. At Profile MD, we use hyaluronic acid-based fillers to add or restore volume, define contours and smooth the skin’s surface.
Common treatment areas include the lips, cheeks, jawline, chin and under-eye hollows. For patients looking to achieve more defined or more softened facial contours , fillers can add meaningful structure without surgery. They can also be used to balance features in ways that feel natural rather than overdone. you have the flexibility to adjust your approach over time. Because results are temporary, lasting anywhere from six to 18 months depending on the product and the area,
Your injector will walk you through realistic expectations and discuss which filler formulas are best suited to your treatment area and goals. We’re straightforward about what fillers can and can’t do, and we’ll never push you toward more than you want.
Scar Treatment & Revision
Scars carry a lot of history, and for many patients, wanting to minimize their appearance is about much more than aesthetics. Whether your scarring is the result of surgery, acne, injury or another cause, Profile MD offers LGBTQ-friendly scar revision treatments that can significantly improve skin texture, color and overall appearance.
Laser Scar Treatments
Our laser technologies work by targeting the scar tissue beneath the skin’s surface, breaking it down and stimulating collagen activity. Over time, this remodeling process reduces the raised texture of hypertrophic scars, softens the discoloration associated with post-inflammatory scarring and improves the overall smoothness of the treated area. Most patients require multiple sessions to achieve optimal results, with improvements continuing for several months after the final treatment. If you want to expand this a bit, we do laser scar treatments, Kenalog injections, as well as surgical scar revision.
Kenalog Injections
For raised or thickened scars like hypertrophic scars and keloids, Kenalog (triamcinolone acetonide) injections offer a targeted, nonsurgical treatment option. Kenalog is a corticosteroid that works by reducing inflammation and suppressing the excess collagen production responsible for the raised appearance of these scar types. Injections are administered directly into the scar tissue at intervals determined by your provider.
Surgical Scar Revisions
When a scar is particularly prominent, poorly positioned or significantly affects the surrounding skin’s function or appearance, surgical revision may be the most effective option. Dr. Mallalieu performs scar revision procedures designed to minimize the visibility of existing scars by repositioning, reshaping or re-closing the affected tissue.
During your consultation, we’ll assess the type, depth and age of your scarring to recommend the most effective protocol for your skin.
Stretch Mark Treatment
Stretch marks appear when the skin stretches or contracts beyond its tolerable limit, disrupting the collagen and elastin fibers that give the skin its firmness and elasticity. They’re extremely common and can appear on the abdomen, thighs, hips, buttocks, arms and chest. While they’re harmless, many LGBTQ patients find them a source of self-consciousness, which is especially true when it’s an area they want to feel more confident showing.
At Profile MD, we treat stretch marks using laser technology that stimulates the skin’s natural collagen-remodeling process. The laser energy penetrates into the deeper layers of the dermis, encouraging the production of new collagen and gradually improving the texture and tone of the affected skin. Older, silver-toned stretch marks and newer, red or purple ones respond differently to treatment, so we’ll evaluate your specific situation during your consultation.
Results develop progressively over multiple sessions. Patients typically notice a reduction in the depth and discoloration of stretch marks, with smoother, more even-toned skin as the final outcome.
Laser Tattoo Removal
Tattoos mean different things at different points in life. If you feel a tattoo no longer represents you, laser tattoo removal offers a safe, effective way to fade or fully clear it from your skin. At Profile MD, we use advanced laser technology to break down tattoo pigment beneath the skin’s surface, allowing your body’s immune system to gradually clear the ink over a series of treatments.
Modern laser tattoo removal has come a long way. Today’s systems can address a much broader range of ink colors more thoroughly than earlier technologies, and treatment protocols are better understood, leading to fewer sessions and more predictable outcomes. The number of treatments required depends on the size of the tattoo, the ink colors used, how deeply the ink was placed and your individual skin characteristics. Most tattoos require between six and 12 sessions, spaced at least six weeks apart, to achieve significant clearance.
Patients often report mild discomfort, but sessions are brief, and your provider can apply a topical anesthetic to help manage it. The skin in the treated area typically heals within a few weeks between sessions.

Frequently Asked Questions
You’re not required to share anything beyond what’s medically relevant to the treatments you’re considering. That said, certain details, such as current hormone therapies or prior surgeries, can genuinely influence how your skin responds to lasers or injectables, so your provider may ask targeted questions. Everything shared in your consultation is completely confidential.
Yes, in some cases. Hormone therapy can alter how hair grows, skin texture and skin laxity, all of which are relevant to treatment planning. Estrogen therapy, for example, may reduce hair growth over time, which can affect how your laser hair removal series is scheduled. Your provider will review your current regimen and factor it into your personalized plan.
Our GentleMax Pro system is designed to treat a broad range of skin tones safely. The dual-wavelength technology gives us the flexibility to set parameters that best accommodate your complexion. During your consultation, we’ll assess your skin type and develop a protocol designed to deliver effective results while minimizing the risk of irritation or pigment changes.
That’s exactly what a consultation is for. We will take the time to understand your goals, review your relevant health history and explain what each treatment can realistically deliver. You’ll leave with a clear picture of what’s possible and a plan you’re genuinely comfortable with.
We hear this more often than you’d think, and we take it seriously. Our goal is to make Profile MD feel like a place where you can speak openly and ask whatever questions you need to without feeling rushed or dismissed. If something didn’t go well elsewhere, we will use that experience to create a more accurately targeted treatment plan.
